These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CampusPlugin placement service (the “Service”) operated by CampusPlugin Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd (“CampusPlugin”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
- Students: aged 18 or over and invited by the placement office of a college that uses CampusPlugin. There is no public sign-up.
- Placement officers: authorised by a college that has agreed a pilot with us. CampusPlugin Operations creates their accounts.
- Company staff: authorised by a company whose access we have approved. CampusPlugin Operations creates each company’s account.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a contract under Indian law.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity on your account.
- You agree to give accurate and current information and to keep your profile up to date.
- Tell us at security@campusplugin.com immediately if you suspect someone else has used your account.
- CampusPlugin Operations staff must sign in with a second step (an authenticator app). We may ask other accounts to do the same.
3. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, or qualifications
- Post fraudulent job listings or extract candidate data outside of legitimate hiring purposes
- Interfere with the Service’s operation, security, or other users’ access
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service (except as permitted by Indian law)
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial communications
- Upload malware, attack the Service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without first agreeing it with us at security@campusplugin.com
- Discriminate on the basis of caste, religion, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic in shortlisting decisions
4. Companies and their jobs
- We approve each company before it can post jobs.
- Each college approves each job before its students can see it.
- A company may use the student data it sees only to consider those students for its jobs, and must keep the interview and offer details it enters accurate.
5. Fees
- Students: CampusPlugin is free for students. Students never pay for any feature.
- Colleges and companies: pilot terms are agreed in writing before we begin.
6. Suspension and ending
- We may suspend an account to investigate a suspected breach of these Terms, and we will tell you why.
- Either party may stop using the Service, or end an agreement, for a material breach that is not put right within 30 days of written notice.
- When an account or a college’s or company’s use of the Service ends, its personal data is handled as our Privacy Policy describes.
7. Intellectual property
- The Service, including all software, branding, designs, and content (other than what users add), is owned by CampusPlugin or its licensors.
- You keep ownership of what you add (your Career Profile, job postings, and so on). You grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process it to provide the Service.
8. Privacy and data protection
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal data and how we meet our duties under the DPDPA 2023.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CampusPlugin harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unauthorised use of the Service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Indian law, CampusPlugin’s total liability arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Service availability
We work to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be. We may pause it briefly for maintenance and updates.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
- These Terms are governed by Indian law.
- Disputes will be resolved first via good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute will be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Seat: Pune.
- Subject to arbitration, the courts of Pune have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, and we update the effective date at the top when we do. Material changes are notified by email to active accounts. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
